My everyday goal is to find solutions without in any way compromising on the quality of work.
I became the managing partner of our Moscow office in 2010. In 1996 I graduated as a tax lawyer from the University of Tilburg, the Netherlands and started my professional career as a tax lawyer at Arthur Andersen. After the collapse of Andersen in 2002, I joined Ernst & Young, where I worked for four years as a member of the international tax advisory practice group in the Netherlands. In 2006, I continued my work at the Moscow offices of Ernst & Young. In 2010 I established the Andersen Tax & Legal office in Moscow.
During my working life I serviced a variety of clients, from start-ups to multinationals. During may stay in Moscow, I developed a passion for the Eastern European market and particularly Russia. In order to be able to operate in this region a combination of thorough knowledge of the market and a great measure of creativity and flexibility is a must.
My extensive knowledge of and experience in both the Russian and western tax systems, which on crucial points deviate, strongly attributes to achieving my goal. This irrespective when asked to align the global transfer pricing model with the Russian rules or to assist a mid-cap company with choosing the right form of legal presence in Russia or to coordinate multi-discipline / multi-jurisdictional projects.
